Alpinist Marie Paradis made a historic ascent of Mont Blanc. This event will showcase the clothing that Marie and other early women alpinists wore. This adventure will explore what climbing was like in 1808 and how it compares to the experience of modern women alpinists


Lise Wortley will present her own projects with slides showing her re-enaction of ascents made by early women alpinists. You will have the opportunity to touch, feel and see clothing worn on these ascents and compare it with modern-day climbing gear.
